Houston Community College (HCC) and Harris Health System are joining forces to establish a comprehensive apprenticeship program to train and produce skilled patient care technicians. A Memorandum of Understanding signing will take place on Nov. 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the HCC Coleman College for Health Sciences Tower, 1919 Pressler St., to formalize the program. National Apprenticeship Week is Nov. 13-19.

HCC has been awarded $550,000 by the USDA for the Workforce Development for Urban Landscape and Lawn Care (WFD-Houston) Grant Project. Sam Houston State University is the sub-recipient of this grant.
