Applications are Open for the 2025-26 Innovation Fellows Cohort Program!
Feb 19, 2025
The application process is now open for the 2024-25 Innovation Fellows cohort program at West Houston Institute! This is a year-long opportunity for personal and professional growth open to all full-time faculty and staff. The program is designed to develop the mindset and skillset needed to bring about innovation in higher education today.
If selected, you will join an interdisciplinary cohort of faculty and staff centered at the West Houston Institute, HCC’s hub for innovation. As an Innovation Fellow, you will become part of a larger network engaged in the reimagination and reinvention of the educational experience across the institution.
Additionally, West Houston Institute actively works with Fellows on promising projects to help them reach their full impact at the college. Many Fellows also participate as team members on WHI’s programs and initiatives.
What You Will Learn and Do in the Program
The Innovation Fellows cohort meets weekly during the Fall and Spring semesters and holistically engages participants through knowledge and praxis in activities where:
- Fellows will learn methods of activating their own creativity to transform their professional practices to become agents of change within the institution.
- Fellows will train in the use of current and emerging technologies to elevate their own technological skills to better engage in our global and digital future.
- Lastly and most importantly, Fellows will collaborate with their peers across disciplines and departments to respond to the complex challenges facing higher education today.
