Agricultural Sciences Academy
Houston Community College (HCC) and Sam Houston State University (SHSU) are proud to announce the launch of the Agricultural Sciences Academy, made possible through funding from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Agency.
The Academy offers students the opportunity to start at HCC and then transition full time to SHSU to complete one of the following Bachelor of Science degree tracks in the School of Agricultural Sciences.
- Agricultural Business Track
- Agricultural Engineering Technology Track
- Animal Science PreVet Medicine Track
- Animal Science Track Interdisciplinary Agriculture Agricultural Education Tracks
- Plant and Soil Science Track
Admissions to the Academy
New students must apply at HCC and SHSU to enroll in the academy for the SHSU application, make the following selections:
Institution – Sam Houston State University – (Huntsville)
Type – Transient
Semester – Fall 2024
School – College of Science and Engineering Technology
Major – Non-Degree Seeking
Joint Admissions – Yes, Houston Community College System
Online Percentage – online and on-campus
Method of payment – request for fee waiver
