    There was a moment when Felipe Riccio was a student in the Houston Community College (HCC) Culinary Arts program that he felt he was pursuing the wrong education path. Twelve years later, Riccio's, who is the chef of March restaurant in Houston, perseverance, labor and culinary skills have earned him the highly coveted MICHELIN Star rating.

    Eight finalists, all veterans or veteran-dependents, showcased their innovative business ideas in a recent virtual pitch competition, vying for a share of over $10,000 in cash prizes. The competition, a key component of the HCC Veterans Entrepreneurship Program, was a collaborative effort between HCC and the Houston Regional Veterans Chamber of Commerce.
